About
Meet Op. Dr. Cahit Vural, specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Born in Ankara in 1981, Op. Dr. Altuğhan Cahit VURAL originally comes from Görele, Giresun. He completed primary school in Levent, Istanbul, and his secondary and high school education in Çankaya, Ankara. He studied at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1999 and 2006, and in 2006 began his residency in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine. Before his residency, in 2005, he had the opportunity to work with James Mander at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.
At the end of his six-year residency he was voluntarily appointed to Erciş, Van, where he completed his compulsory service. He then worked as a fellow at the Istanbul Plastic Surgery Academy — Turkey’s only officially accredited aesthetic surgery fellowship programme — receiving training in aesthetic surgery from Prof. Dr. Atilla Oymak, Op. Dr. Osman Oymak, Op. Dr. Tunç Tiryaki and Op. Dr. Esin Aksungur.
Following his work at the Istanbul Plastic Surgery Academy, he worked at the Yüzyıl Hospitals Group and subsequently served as head of the plastic surgery clinic at Medicana Çamlıca Hospital. After leaving Medicana Çamlıca, he began working with Prof. Dr. Murat Türegün at Marebelis Clinic in Nişantaşı, and at the same time established his own clinic in Nişantaşı.
Dr. Vural continues to practise at Or-Ahayim Balat Hospital and at his own clinic in Nişantaşı. He is married and a father of two.
