Medication Use After Rhinoplasty Surgery

There are a number of medications that the doctor should give to the patients to avoid problems and pay attention after rhinoplasty surgeries and septumdeviation (nasal congestion). Patients complete the healing process more comfortably and quickly thanks to these medications. Although the use of antibiotics is discussed after rhinoplasty surgery, antibiotic supplements are generally given to patients. Patients are given antibiotics for five days after surgery. Although there is not much pain after rhinoplasty surgery, painkiller pills are recommended to patients. Afterwards, sprays called ocean water or sea water should be sprayed into both nostrils. Thus, the patient breathes more easily and cleans the inside of the nose. It is an important type of supplement for the removal of blood, clots or nasal secretions in the nose. Patients can use such medicines recommended by the doctor. However, the patient cannot use medication according to his/her own will. Because the drugs used can cause dizziness in the patient. The medicines given by the doctor are also used for certain periods of time and regular spray use should be performed. Any therapeutic creams can be given for bruises around the eyes that may occur after nose surgery. Again, as we mentioned, these are medicines under the control of a doctor. Afterwards, the patient should take care of himself and vitamin supplements should be made. In addition to the supplementation that the patient will make by paying attention to his / her nutrition, it also appears as vitamins given by the doctor.

Are Nose Surgeries Risky?

Operations have always scared people. The reason is that there are pain after surgery and pains. In addition, there are also risks that occur after surgery. Even a small simple surgery has a risk factor. In other words, every surgery has the possibility of risk. For this reason, people are anxious and worried before having surgery. One of these surgeries is nose surgery.

Nose surgery also has a risk factor like other surgeries. Rhinoplasty is a highly aesthetic and complicated operation as it is performed by cutting the nasal bone in a suitable way. There are also risks related to anaesthesia. In addition, nose surgeries may cause bleeding, difficulty in breathing, infection, discharge, rarely temporary loss of smell. After the nasal bone and cartilage take their final form and shape and the sutures are removed or melted, a fall in the tip of the nose may occur.

Operation should of course be performed taking this risk into consideration. In some cases, the patient has a second surgery. After the operation, a second operation is performed because the patient does not like the appearance or because of any problem. This second operation is usually performed to improve the result of the first operation and to further improve the situation and is performed under local anaesthesia. A waiting period of six to twelve months should pass for a second operation. During this period, the nose should be taken care of and the nose should not be hit.
