While some people are very brave and eager for aesthetic surgeries, sometimes my patients’ expectations from me are the desire for change with small touches, in such cases, while today’s technology offers us various options as physicians, non-surgical rhinoplasty is an alternative to the person without surgical procedure. Non-surgical rhinoplasty can also be considered as a kind of pre-operation, that is, preparation for surgery.
In non-surgical rhinoplasty, satisfactory results are obtained by lifting the tip of the patient’s nose, shaping small noses, filling the sunken areas, filling or botox application to wrinkled nasal tissue and minimal curvatures with age. While the person can get instant results with this application, it is sufficient to allocate less budget compared to rhinoplasty.
We cannot perform non-surgical rhinoplasty to reduce the nose, narrow the nose or make the nose look thinner. With the permanent suspension method, which is another method in non-surgical rhinoplasty, effective results can be obtained in patients who want aesthetic arrangements such as narrowing of the tip of the nose, narrowing of the wings of the nose, lifting the tip of the nose. One of the most admired results of the procedure, which is applied under local anaesthesia in a period of 30-40 minutes without changing the cartilage and bone structure, is the shrinkage of the nose.
In the method, special suspension threads are placed under the skin without incision, a swelling occurs in the nose that will pass in 2-3 days after the intervention, and a tape is adhered on the nose for faster healing of this swelling. Since the materials used are very soft, they are not felt under the skin. Since no work is done in the nose, no tampon is placed and the person has no breathing problems. After 3 days, the tape is removed, the crusts formed in the entrance areas of the needles disappear and the person can continue his social life.
We can also apply non-surgical rhinoplasty to people who cannot have surgery due to different health problems.
As a surgeon who is warm to medical aesthetic applications, it is useful to underline that the results of these applications differ from the results of classical rhinoplasty surgery and the results of these methods applied.
